Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated October 18, 2026. This page is provided for general information and does not constitute legal advice.

Gear Tested HQ is reader-supported. When you buy through links on this site, we may earn an affiliate commission - at no additional cost to you. This is how we keep the site free to read.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a URL that tells a retailer a click came from our site. If you make a purchase, the retailer may pay us a small commission.

How it affects our content

It does not affect our recommendations. We choose products based on published specifications, long-term ownership reports, and real-world tradeoffs - never on commission size. We sometimes include products without affiliate links when they are simply the best fit.

Where you will see disclosure

You will see a disclosure near the top of any article that contains affiliate links, and in the footer of the site.
